How the Flirting Style Test works
You rate 14 statements from 0 to 3. Each feeds one of seven flirting styles (one also feeds a second at half weight). A style’s score is its points as a percentage of its maximum. The highest is your style, the next is your secondary, and exact ties go to the style listed first.
Seven styles, fourteen statements, and a result your crush will recognise before you do. Here is the method behind it.
The statements
Fourteen statements, two per style, each describing something you do when you like someone: hint for months, say it within the week, tease, send the 1 a.m. voice note, disappear after three days. You rate each from not at all (0) to painfully accurate (3). One statement (“excellent for the first three days”) counts fully for the Professional Ghoster and half for the Chaotic Flirt, because it belongs to both.
The seven styles
The Subtle One, the Direct One, the Teaser, the Accidental Flirt, the Chaotic Flirt, the Selective One and the Professional Ghoster. All seven are written with strengths and with things to watch; the Ghoster is not a villain and the Direct One is not a hero.
Scoring
Each style’s score is the sum of (rating × weight) for its statements, divided by the maximum, as a percentage. Styles are scored independently and do not sum to 100. The highest percentage is your style; the second highest is your secondary. Exact ties are broken by the fixed order of the styles, so the same answers always produce the same result everywhere.
Distribution checks
Automated checks simulate random and patterned answer sets before every release: every style must be reachable, no style may win most random answer sets, and rating a style’s two statements at 3 must be enough for it to win against neutral answers elsewhere.
Limits
A “style” here is a caricature of a tendency, not a category of person. Most people recognise two or three of the seven in themselves depending on who they are talking to; the test simply names the loudest one. It is not a measure of success, attractiveness or intent, and it says nothing about anyone but you. Your ratings stay on your device; a shared result carries only the style name.
Versioning
Version 1. Changes to statements, weights or styles create a new version; results keep theirs.
