About Wabiro

Editorial policy

Last updated September 23, 2026

Wabiro publishes relationship guides and self-reflection tests. This page says who writes them, what they rest on, how they change, and where their limits are.

Who writes Wabiro content

Every guide, test and report is written and maintained by the Wabiro editorial team. We do not attribute pages to named experts, and we do not claim clinical review we have not had. When a page relies on published research, the work is cited at the end of the page so you can read it yourself.

How guides are sourced

  • Concepts that come from research (attachment, conflict repair, coercive control, contempt, emotional availability) are credited to real, published works listed under "Sources" on each guide.
  • We do not invent statistics. When no reliable number exists, the page says so or uses none.
  • Examples are illustrative behaviours, not stories about real people.
  • Each guide answers one question first, in a few sentences that stand on their own, then explains the nuances: context, repetition, severity, and when safety matters more than conversation.

How tests are built

Tests are questionnaires about observable behaviours. Scores come from fixed, published rules: each answer has a value, values are averaged per dimension and weighted into an overall index. The same answers always give the same result. No AI model decides or adjusts a score; if text is ever phrased with AI help, the underlying numbers never are.

Every change that could alter a score creates a new test version, and results and paid reports record the version they were computed with. The rules for each test are described on its methodology page.

What Wabiro is not

  • Not therapy. Nothing here replaces a conversation with a qualified professional.
  • Not a diagnosis. No test names a disorder or labels a person, and none tries.
  • Not emergency help. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number. Support resources lists services by country.

Safety comes first

Some answers describe fear, threats, violence, coercion, isolation, monitoring or financial control. Those are never treated as a communication problem to work on together. When they appear, the result puts safety information first, drops "what to say to your partner" suggestions and shows no paid offer.

Dates on our pages

"Published" is when a page first went live. "Updated" changes only when the substance changes — a new section, a corrected fact, new sources — not for typo fixes. Guides are re-read against their sources when they are updated.

Corrections

If something on Wabiro is wrong, unclear or out of date, write to hello@wabiro.com. We check every report, correct factual errors promptly, and update the page's date when the correction changes what it says.

Independence

Wabiro is funded by optional paid reports. No page contains paid placements, sponsored recommendations or affiliate links, and a test result is never shaped to sell a report: the free result always states your main pattern, your strongest area and what to do next.
