Wabiro, explained
What does Wabiro mean?
Wabiro is a place to discover more about yourself and the people around you, one quick test at a time. Wabiro is our brand name, not a dictionary definition.
The tests are short and original: about you, dating, relationships and compatibility. And the small lilac character you’ll meet along the way is Wabi, our guide.
Wabi says: Hi, I’m Wabi. I ask the questions around here.
The name
What is Wabiro?
Wabiro is a website of short, original tests about you and the people in your life: how you come across, how you flirt, how you show up in relationships and how well you match with someone. Every result is free, takes a few minutes to reach and comes with a card made for sharing.
Wabiro is the name we gave all of it. It’s a brand name: we don’t present it as a dictionary word, an acronym or a translation, and this page won’t invent a backstory for it. What Wabiro means, in practice, is what you can do here.
Meet Wabi
Who is Wabi?
Wabi is Wabiro’s mascot: a small, curious lilac character who helps you find a test and keeps you company along the way.
Wabi isn’t here to tell you who to be. Wabi is here to help you discover what makes you, you.
What Wabi actually does
Suggests where to start
On the homepage, pick a curiosity (your personality, your relationships, your attraction vibe) and Wabi suggests a test that fits.
Keeps you company on some tests
Beside the questions, Wabi reacts with a face and, now and then, a few words. On tests where you reflect on yourself or a partner, Wabi stays neutral, so nothing nudges your answers.
Takes shape with your discoveries
On My Wabi, the results of the tests you finish add up. A trait that clearly stands out can give your Wabi an accessory. It’s remembered on this device, never guessed.
Can join your result card
When you share a result, you can put Wabi’s face and one line about it on the image. Never your answers.
Follows your settings
In Wabi’s settings, choose Lively, Calm or Hidden. When your device or this site is set to reduce animations, Wabi stops moving.

The idea behind wabi
What does wabi mean in Japanese?
In Japanese aesthetics, wabi (侘び) is associated with finding beauty in simplicity and imperfection. It is often paired with sabi, the quiet dignity that comes with the passage of time, in wabi-sabi: two related ideas rather than one and the same.
That’s a meaningful parallel to something we care about: embracing what makes each person unique, unfinished parts included. It is not a claim that Wabiro is a Japanese word, nor an account of where the name comes from. Wabi, our mascot, shares the sound, not the tradition.

What you can count on
Free results
Every test gives you a complete result for free, without an account.
Some tests offer an optional one-time report, and Wabiro+ is an optional subscription. Both show their price up front, and no free result depends on them.
PricingSelf-reflection, not diagnosis
Results are for self-reflection and fun. Nothing here is a clinical assessment, therapy, or advice about who to date or whether to stay.
Get helpHonest scoring
Every test has a public method page, and a result never changes under you. Comparisons with other people only appear once enough completed results back them.
MethodologyPrivate by default
Your answers stay in your browser, where your result is calculated. If you share or buy, we keep a short summary, never your answers. We use analytics only with your consent.

How the tests are built, scored and kept honest is explained on About Wabiro.
FAQ
Questions about Wabiro and Wabi
What does Wabiro mean?
Wabiro is the name of a website for quick, original tests about yourself, dating, relationships and compatibility. It’s a brand name rather than a dictionary word, so what it means is what you can do here: discover something about yourself, then share it or compare it with someone.
Who is Wabi?
Wabi is Wabiro’s mascot, a small, curious lilac character. Wabi suggests tests, keeps you company on some of them, can appear on your result card and takes shape on My Wabi as you finish tests. In Wabi’s settings, you can choose a calmer Wabi or take tests without Wabi.
Is Wabiro a Japanese word?
Wabiro is a brand name, and we don’t present it as a Japanese word or give it a Japanese meaning. It does sound close to wabi (侘び), a Japanese aesthetic idea linked to beauty in simplicity and imperfection: a parallel we like, not a claim about where the name comes from.
What does wabi mean?
In Japanese aesthetics, wabi (侘び) is associated with finding beauty in simplicity and imperfection. It is related to wabi-sabi without being the same idea: wabi-sabi pairs it with sabi, the quiet dignity that time brings. On Wabiro, Wabi is also the name of our mascot.
What can I do on Wabiro?
Take short tests about yourself, dating, relationships and compatibility, analyse a group chat right on your device, or estimate your dating pool. Every result is free and comes with a card to share, and many tests let you challenge someone to compare results.
Is Wabiro free?
Yes. Every experience gives you a complete result for free, without an account: your score, profile, stats or verdict, and a card to share. Some experiences also offer an optional one-time report or unlock — labelled with its price, shown only after your free result, and it never renews. Separately, Wabiro+ is an optional subscription that connects your results over time; no free result depends on it.
Do I need to create an account or give my e-mail?
No. Nothing is asked before your result — no e-mail, no card, no sign-up. An optional account (magic link, no password) lets you recover a purchase on another device and, if you want, keep your Wabiro ID summaries across devices. Only Wabiro+, the optional subscription, requires one, because a subscription belongs to an account.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Every test works in the web browser on your phone or computer, with nothing to install.
You don’t have to be perfect to be interesting.
