What does this quiz measure?

The Anime Purity Test is a fandom-habit checklist of 55 items across five screens: binge-watching, feelings and hot takes, manga and lore, merch, and real-world fandom such as conventions and cosplay. Your purity score runs from 100 (untouched) down to 0 and places you in one of six ranks: Episode One Newcomer, Casual Weekend Watcher, Seasonal Regular, Devoted Otaku, Convention Veteran or Final Boss of the Fandom.

How is the result calculated?

Each item is worth one to three points depending on how deep into fandom it goes. Your ticked points are divided by the total possible and that share is taken away from 100, so ticking nothing scores 100 and ticking everything scores 0. Your rank is the band your score falls in. It is a light-hearted entertainment checklist, not a measure of anything.
